Missouri Star Quilt Company

Have You Seen The Quilter’s Daily Deal At Missouri Star Quilt Company?

I know this blog is called “I Joann Fabrics!” but I’d be a liar if I told you it’s the only place I shop.  Many, many months ago I tripped over Missouri Star Quilt Company and checking out their Quilter’s Daily Deal quickly became a part of my morning routine.  Read on and be prepared to add it to your morning routine, too!

The MSQC Daily Deal

Every day – and I do mean ‘every’ – MSQC runs a new Quilter’s Daily Deal where you can save 40-100% off a different quilt fabric or notion.  Let me repeat that…

You SAVE anywhere from 40% to 100% on a different fabric or notion – every day.

Now, I’m sure you’ve seen dozens of websites in your lifetime that all have some kind of ‘deal’, maybe even a ‘daily’ deal, and most of the time those so-called ‘deals’ are just a ruse so they can pawn off their old inventory or get rid of some dud they can’t sell.

Not so at Missouri Star!  I’ve been watching (and buying) their daily deals for almost a year now.  I also browse the rest of the site on a regular basis, so I know what fabric has been hanging around for a while and what fabric is new.  Their Daily Deal isn’t just a sham.  It looks to me like they actually use this Daily Deal to promote new stock and popular, useful notions, like maybe they’re working deals with the fabric designers and suppliers because they know how discriminating we fabric lovers and sewists can be.

Yeah, But What About ‘Quality’?

Most quilters want to be able to feel the fabric before they buy, so it’s understandable that you wouldn’t want to buy fabric online.  But, we’re talking about real fabric brands here: Andover, Moda, Riley Blake, Robert Kaufman, Henry Glass, and many, many other popular brands.  Not that Mystery Fabric you get when you order from sites like Wish.com or Amazon.  You and I both know there’s some really crappy ‘quilting’ fabric out there, but MSQC is aligned with the best.

So, What About Prices?

I’ve recently become addicted to Charm Packs, those coordinated collections of pre-cut 5-inch squares.  The selection that JOANN offers is minimal, even online, so I don’t feel a bit guilty about buying them from MSQC.  On the Charm Packs that JOANN does offer, the prices are around $8.99 or more for a pack of 30 squares.  At MSQC the prices are around $11 or $12 for a pack of 42 squares, so pretty comparable to JOANN prices, but they have a much better, high-quality selection than JOANN.  (This pricing comparison also holds true for their Jelly Rolls and Layer Cakes.)

Let’s Get Back to The MSQC Daily Deal!

All of that pricing stuff I talked about above goes out the window with the Daily Deal.  The Daily Deal prices are amazing!  Trust me – you will very quickly become addicted to this and you’ll soon learn why it’s become part of my morning routine!  Take a look at just a few of the Deals I’ve enjoyed:

In November I got two of these Milestone Charm Packs by Moda Fabrics for just $5.99 each.

In January I got two of these Memoirs Charm Packs by Moda Fabrics for just $5.55 each.

And, just last month I got two of these Summer Breeze Charm Packs by Moda Fabrics for just $5.57 each.

How Do You Get The MSQC Daily Deal?

In the beginning I subscribed to the MSQC Newsletter and they send you an email alert every day to let you know about the Daily Deal.  Now, I don’t even bother checking my email.  I just have the page for the Daily Deal bookmarked on my phone so it only takes one click to see what’s new today.

So Much More Than Fabric!

I feel it’s my civic duty to warn you… Once you visit the Missouri Star website you’re going to find a lot more than fabric – an amazing collection of quilting tutorials posted on Youtube, notions, patterns, batting, and even quilting-themed jewelry.  If you’re prone to falling down rabbit holes you might want to save your visit for later in the day, after your chores are done.  Trust me, this will become one of your most favorite websites!
